FOSTER FUN RUN/WALK
The December 2011 Fun Run/Walk attracted approximately 430 entrants and was again a great success. The youngest and the seniors are always an inspiration, the social participants create the fun atmosphere and those that take it seriously and compete fiercely, add that extra excitement!
We changed the venue in the hope of making the registration process smoother and think it worked well,
apart from a few minor glitches which will be ironed out before the next one.

FOSTER AGM & JOL 2011
The 2011 AGM was held at The Resort before the Jol.
The same committee members were re-elected and no new nominations were received.

THE JOL was well attended and good food and great music was enjoyed by all.
We were entertained, firstly by our local band, The Neighbourhood Watch, with their marvellous mellow tones and then by Etienne Verster and 'The Brothers of Other Mothers' who got everybody up onto their feet and kept them dancing until the early hours of the morning.
Huge thanks to the bands and to Riekie, Keith, Anita and Resort staff for accommodating our AGM and for all the organisation that went into assuring the success of the Jol.

GOLF DAY
The annual Golf Day, FOSTER's main fundraising event of the year, was held on 19th February at The Links in glorious playing conditions. There was a great turnout of players and the numbers were swelled by visitors from Kirkwood.

We are hugely grateful to the chief organiser, Terry Smith, who begged, cajoled and intimidated local businesses and individuals into sponsoring or playing. Then to Jeff Clause, Ryan Dodds and the team at St Francis Links who always give generously of their time, effort, facilities and money. FOSTER appreciates the support of all the sponsors and players, without whom this event just couldn't happen.
